🔱 The Significance of Sri Maharudram
Sri Rudram is one of the most powerful Vedic hymns. Chanting it, or even listening to its recitation, brings immense spiritual benefits. When accompanied by the sacred fire ritual, it is known as Rudra Yagam.
The chanting pattern follows:
- 🔸 Ekadasa Rudram – 11 recitations of Sri Rudram followed by 1 recitation of Chamakam.
- 🔸 Laghu Rudram – 11 rounds of Ekadasa Rudram.
- 🔸 Maharudram – 11 Laghu Rudrams (11 × 11 × 11 recitations).
